The organic humic fertilizer PRECOGROW, a plant growth stimulant, has caught the interest scientists as a result of its potential for boosting seed germination rates with the objective of raising agricultural output while being environmentally friendly.

The effects of immersion on seed germination are examined in depth in this article through the results of two trials. As part of the research, several seed types and concentrations were tested in Salamat and Jabal Hafeet nurseries to find out how well they performed under the local conditions.

Experiment 1: Salamat Nursery

In half-board containers, seeds were sown traditionnally. Block 1 served as the control group with untreated seeds, while blocks 2 and 3 received PRECOGROW treatment. Before sowing, seeds in blocks 2 and 3 were soaked in a solution of 10 ml of PRECOGROW diluted with 2 liters of water for 24 hours.

Over 2 weeks, the germination rates for seeds treated with the PRECOGROW concentrate were 33.5% in block 2 and 22% in block 3. In comparison, the control group (block 1) had a germination rate of 23.5% on average.

Experiment 2: Jabal Hafeet Nursery

Seeds were soaked in a liquid containing a 5% concentration of the PRECOGROW stimulant before planting. Local Balanites aegyptiaca and imported Algerian Atriplex canescens seedlings germinated significantly better in the trial. Atriplex canescens and Atriplex Amnicola seeds obtained in the UAE, on the other hand, exhibited little or no effect.

Results

The PRECOGROW fertilizer had an excellent effect on seed germination in experimental trials. The humic fertilizer significantly boosted germination rates.

As a result, the effectiveness of PRECOGROW is still dependent on the seed’s nature, fertility, and origin.
